Just A Little Decaf...

I spent my 10 block walk to the office wondering "should I, or should I not, should I, or should I not?"  Well, I did. I got myself just a little (tall) cup of decaf from Starbucks.  I have been off the juice for 3 days now and I am pretty proud of myself for not needing to take any pain medication for a withdrawel headache. All of last week I enjoyed a half cafe (half caffiene, half decaf) and this is definitely the way to ease off the good ole caffiene.  There is also teeccino (herbal coffee), which can help with reducing caffiene intake through coffee, but it really is an acquired taste.  Anyway, so today I failed in that I had to have a cup of coffee, but at least it is decaf!  And it tastes sooo good by the way.
I am eliminating coffee from my daily routine all in the name of the Master Cleanse that is coming up quickly (9 days left to the start).   I have also decided that today I will not have my post lunch chocolate fix -- Adora chocolate calcium and chocolate covered goji berries...ahhh sadness :(  But I need to get rid of the good stuff (addictive) so that  I crave less of it when I am on the cleanse.
Just a little status update on the cleanse...I have not made a lot of progress on gathering supplies.  I still need to buy the pH strips, but I may end up ordering them online.  Does anyone know what kind of store could possibly sell these? Home Depot? I did discover that I have the juicer attachment that hooks up to our Kitchen Aid.  But Jimmy needs to get a juicer of some sort for his cleansing.  Ahh me...okay, so glad it is Friday. Off to enjoy my oatmeal and do some work :)

I've made butternut squash ravioli with the sage butter before (a recipe from vegetarian times) and it is FANTASTIC!! It is pretty involved, and takes a bit of time, but the results are so worth it. Have fun!

I'm in the same 'attempting to ween off coffee boat' and my level of success so far as been modest at best. Ah well, baby steps right? :) That cooking class menu looks wonderful. I've really wanted to start taking classes, but have only really found expensive options so far. Hope you have a wonderful time!
